FAT BIKE RENTALS for the SUMMER!

The summer is practically here and most of us are aching for some adventure and fun. Well, we have an easy answer for you - ahem - FAT BIKE RENTALS. Make a statement and try this bump absorbing bike on all types of terrain - all for $25 for the day or $20 per bike for 2+ riders! Want to have the bike overnight for a nice camping trip or night adventure? Add another $15 and call it good. We are basically giving away these bikes so that those in the pacific northwest can have a chance to really feel like a dirty kid again....

Fat Sand Bikes, with whom Seattle E-Bike partners to create our Fat Bike line, are built in the United States. Fat Sand Bikes use a 4.8 inch wide, yes, 4.8 inch wide, 30 inch tall tire. Fat Bikes are tremendous for off-road work of all kinds.  If you let most of the air out of the tires, they are amazing on loose sand and unstoppable in snow.  Fat Bikes are superb at roaring down mountain trails and are legal on Forest Service Hunting Lands. Fat Bikes also make really good urban warriors.  Great on hard surfaces, the shock absorbing capabilities of the fat tires allow you glide over potholes or to go up curbs at 10 miles an hour while barely noticing it.

Most impressive of all is the E-bike version of our Fat Bike, the Cascade E-Monster. With the powerful front-mounted 750 Watt hub motor powered by a center-mounted Panasonic lithium battery and eight speed internal Alfine gear box on the back wheel, if you pedal, you have the world’s first all wheel drive bicycle that can get you up those tumultuous hills effortlessly.  We offer 4 Fat Bike Models: the Fat Cruiser, the Terrain Destroyer, the Mountain Monster, and the Cascade E-Monster. Our Fat Bikes are available in a stunning array of primary colors as well as black and Camo ($80 extra).  We also offer different tire options and easy mounting fenders that can save your butt from the muddiest of days.

Fat Bikes with Internal Gears.  One thing that is different (and better) about our Fat Bike than any of the competition we are aware of is our gearing system.  Unlike derailleur gears, they are unaffected by salt or sand or mud and are much more resistant to damage from rocks, roots, etc. Our entry level Cruiser has a 3 speed internal Shimano Nexus hub, the Terrain Destroyer has the 8-speed version. To both bikes, we have added a front disc brake in the front because of the hills and the rain we have here in Seattle.

Our Mountain Monster and the Cascade E-Bike Monster employ Shimano’s finest internal hub, the Alfine, a superbly assembled, 8-speed smooth unit with fittings that permit us to install an extraordinary powerful twin hydraulic brake system. The Alfine alone retails for nearly $500.

We want you to ride anywhere you want.

Seriously! The Seattle E-Bike staff has tried these fat bikes up some of the more gruesome terrain that is sometimes unavoidable in Seattle and surrounding areas from sharp, rigid gravel trails -to deep, compact, icy snow, up the Harbor steps in downtown Seattle, by Alki beach in deep sand. Why not take a smooth ride over a curb or through a puddle with excitement and surprisingly easy peddling? With the slender profile of a bike, even a Fat Bike, you can go around the bad stuff that will stop jeeps and ATV’s.
